necklace - bow

Thank you very much to Popo for helping me complete this necklace and free of charge for all the materials. I LOVE IT! Popo, a jewelery maker, is a very nice girl. She will be selling her own handmade accessories soon. All beads and parts are imported from Korea, so they are very high quality. And of course pretty to look at too. :)

bows, ribbons, flowers are all my favourite, probably you guys have noticed that already :)

pin cushion

Yesterday I learnt blanket stitch from youtube. Yes, youtube! I couldn't understand from the pictures in my book. So i searched from youtube. And there are many many tutorials on how to hand sew, hand made... etc. To practice the blanket stitch, I made myself a pin cushion from left over felts.

I am learning cross stitching at the moment. I bought a book called 'Made in France: cross stitching and embroidery in red, white and blue'. Inside has some basic stitching instructions and most importantly beautiful and inspiring french handmade pieces.

my first ever handmade jewelery

Lately I came across many bloggers who make beautiful jewelery where it just made me really want to do one for myself. Today I went to Cabeadle Beads Shop in East Rundle Street and finally made my very first handmade necklace. I chose a flower pendant and some pearls, sat at the shop to finish the necklace. The lady in the shop was very helpful. She gave advices and showed me how to do it. Here is the finished product.

I myself like it a lot. I wore it on my way back :) What do you think of this necklace? I am open to everyone to name this necklace. ideas? ideas?
